The Society consists of individual members and supporting organizations. Individual membership includes plant biologists, and other scientists, working in academia, government, and laboratories, industrial or commercial environments. Membership is also open to scientists from other countries. The admission of new members is under the authority of SPPS Steering Committee. SPPS General Assembly can also award an honourable membership to Serbian or foreign citizens.
All members are required to comply with the STATUT DFBS, and to contribute to the SPPS program objectives, such as promotion and development of research and education in the field of plant physiology. Members are required to implement the decisions of the Committees, and to regularly pay the membership fee.
All individual members have the following rights: to be involved in SPPS meetings and other activities; to present their scientific results in SPPS meetings; to present scientific publications on SPPS webpage; to vote in all elections, except those restricted to the committees of the Society; to be nominated for and to be elected to any committee; to be appointed to and to serve on committees; to serve as an official representative of the Society; to be actively involved in SPPS development and promotion.
